Arman Mottaghi is the CEO of Properate, a Vancouver-based technology company focused on making home energy assessment, HVAC sizing, and residential energy upgrades more accessible. With a background in urban planning and building science, Arman has built his career at the intersection of technology, energy efficiency, and high-performance residential construction. 

Through Properate, he works with contractors, homeowners, manufacturers, municipalities, and other industry stakeholders to develop practical, data-driven tools that simplify building performance decisions. His work includes solutions such as Properate Stride and Studio, which support home measurement, CSA F280 load calculations, and retrofit planning. Arman was named a Canada Clean50 Emerging Leader in 2023 and received the Canada Green Building Council’s Emerging Green Leader Award in 2021.
